Interested candidates must be in agreement with the C&MA statement of faith and Alliance polity. If you are not currently holding Alliance credentials, you must meet standards for accreditation in the Alliance, and commit to pursuing Alliance Consecration & Ordination.

Our pastor needs to . . .
. . . be a man who has a vital, growing, relationship with Jesus Christ; a man of prayer who listens to God's direction, and who demonstrates a growing depth of the inner life of the Holy Spirit. If married, he needs to live in such a way that Christ's love for the church is evident in his relationship with his family.
. . . develop a clear vision of what the Lord of the church has for First Alliance Church at 2512 N Druid Hills Road, Atlanta. He needs to be able to articulate that vision and lead us into fulfilling that vision.
. . . hear God's word for himself. He needs to be a student of the Word and of people. He must be able to preach and teach the Word of God to the people of God.
. . . be one who is comfortable among and experienced with people from different cultures and nations as well as those from all levels of society. The strategic location of the church suggests a leader who comes to know our community and is known in our community.
. . . be a shepherd to the people of First Alliance Church, showing the practical love of Christ, visiting congregants' homes, sharing hospitality in his own home, and enjoying being part of the family.
. . . practice personal evangelization, including having relationships with seekers and non-believers. He needs to demonstrate and encourage congregants to be intentional in their circle of influence, teaching and showing them how to make disciples.
. . . be an able steward of the resources (people, building, finances) of the church. He needs to be an effective leader of staff. He needs to demonstrate a team spirit, helping us to develop our gifting and using our gifts in ministry both within the body and in our communities.
