A North Dakota school district is urgently seeking three dedicated Special Education Teachers to support students in grades K12 during the 20252026 school year. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity with two school locations in close proximity. Responsibilities Provide individualized instruction and support for students with diverse learning needs
Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with families and staff
Adapt lessons to meet academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
Work closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and school leadership
Maintain compliance with state and federal special education guidelines
Qualifications
Required:
North Dakota SPED certification
OR
interest in enrolling in the ND Para-to-Teacher program
Preferred: Experience in K12 settings
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Ability to travel between school sites if needed
Position Details Schedule:
MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 4:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Locations:
1 opening
Elementary (K5) , 2 openings High School (912)
Contract:
August 20, 2025 May 22, 2026
Caseload:
To be determined; approx. 300 students district-wide
Pay Rate:
$30$40/hour, depending on experience and budget
Grow-Your-Own Certification Path Paraprofessionals interested in transitioning to certified SPED teachers are encouraged to explore North Dakotas Para-to-Teacher initiative: ? ND DPI Para-to-Teacher Program Important Notice Candidates with SPED certification in North Dakota will be prioritized. However, applicants with paraprofessional experience and a strong desire to grow in the field are encouraged to apply.
