Job Title: Data Scientist with Gen AI Project Location: Plano, TX (Onsite) Job Description: Skills Required: Python MongoDB Databricks Generative AI NLP (Natural Language Processing) LLM (Large Language Model) tuning (OpenAI preferred) AI Agents development Supervised Machine Learning Unsupervised Machine Learning LLM Evaluation (specific to one position) Key Clarifications from the Client: This is not a purely Generative AI (GenAI) role. While experience with LLMs and GenAI is important, the position primarily requires core Data Science capabilities, with GenAI being a secondary, complementary skillset. Title ≠ Role Responsibilities. Just having "Data Scientist” in the candidate's title isn't enough. The candidate must have hands-on experience in Data Science – working with algorithms, solving business problems using data, and building/trainable models. Not a Machine Learning Engineer Role. Many profiles lean more towards ML Engineering or MLOps (e.g., pipeline development, infrastructure setup, model deployment). These are supportive roles, not the primary focus of this position. Candidate Must-Haves: Strong core Data Science experience: Hands-on with supervised/unsupervised learning, predictive modeling, feature engineering, etc. Knows when and why to use specific algorithms depending on the business use case. Can fine-tune/train models and evaluate performance. Technical Skills: Proficient in Python, PySpark, and working with MongoDB JSON data. Must be comfortable working directly with raw/complex datasets and drawing insights. Experience in model selection based on data exploration.
