Mechanical Assembler

JOB TITLE: MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER JOB LOCATION: HUNTSVILLE, AL WAGE RANGE*: 23.00-25.00 PER HOUR JOB NUMBER: SAIJP00038280 REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Required Qualifications • Current certification in IPC/WHMA-A-620 with Space addendum. • Current certification in J-STD-001. JOB DESCRIPTION • Build, troubleshoot, and repair cable assemblies. • Working knowledge and use of tools used for cable manufacturing (strippers, crimpers, solder iron). • Interpret engineer drawings, electrical schematics, and technical specifications. Candidates must have experience working with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and other technicians to develop a strategy and identify any problems that could occur during assembly. • Perform basic troubleshooting to find faults in signal and connectivity issues. Basic Qualifications Candidates must possess a High School diploma/GED with 1 to 3 years (or more) of experience with cable building and/or electrical/mechanical assembly experience. • Working knowledge of specialized tools and equipment used during cable assembly process. Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain a Secret Clearance.
