Salary: $54,000-$58,000
Position Description:
Reporting to the Director of Teacher Engagement, the Teacher Engagement Manager support the department's work to ensure partner teachers are able to deliver quality STE(A)M education long after our team departs the site. They help administration of ongoing professional development programs by engaging teachers in the execution of programming and providing hip-to-hip training on the curriculum delivered. Once programming is complete, they continue to engage our partner teachers through coaching sessions.

Duties/Responsibilities:
The Teacher Engagement Manager responsibilities include:
- Deliver high quality teacher development and coaching sessions
- Ensure programs align to partners goals and needs with a priority that teachers and partner sites truly build capacity to do this work once STE(A)M Truck drives away.
- Support the Director of Teacher Engagement in delivering a robust Sustaining program offering, including ongoing coaching and publish ready professional development resources for our clients.
- Coach client teachers, volunteers, contractors and internal staff so outcome measures are achieved.
- Participate in events outside the workday schedule including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Execute other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrate moderate knowledge/experience supervising adults to achieve equitable educational outcomes
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including effective use of social media
Education and Experience:
- At least three years as a teacher in a Title I K-12 public school and at least 1 years mentoring and/or coaching other classroom educators.
- Demonstrate past evidence of significant positive student academic outcomes.
- Familiarity and comfort with project based learning, design thinking, and the Maker Movement (preferred)
- BA (required), MA (preferred)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, sit, crouch, bend, speak, and hear.
- Ability to engage in physical activity with members without limitation.
- Ability to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects between 10 and 20 pounds
