Job Summary Details:
The Floor Technician performs floor cleaning duties in designated areas that will include stripping, waxing, buffing floors.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday 4pm - 12:30pm

Responsibilities
Must have a least 2 years of floor tech experience.
* Cleaning offices, hallways, common areas, and other areas. * Moving furniture before and after cleaning. * Cleaning, dusting, mopping, stripping, and waxing floors. * Measuring chemicals correctly. * Operating chemical dispensing units. * Labeling chemicals correctly. * Cleaning, maintaining, and storing equipment and PPE proficiently. * Keeping an inventory of floor areas, and scheduling cleaning and maintenance duties. * Reporting maintenance issues to supervisor. * Assisting with the hazardous waste collection as requested by the supervisor. * Other duties as assigned * Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. * May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions. * Mixes water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications * Strips, seals, finishes, and polishes floors * Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment * Gathers and empties trash * Must keep janitor's closet neat and orderly and maintain equipment in good working order * Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties * Monitors building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and possibly checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created * Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Qualifications
* Must be 18 years of age or older * Must have minimum of 6 month related work experience using floor tech equipment, running buffers, waxing, and striping
