Job Description

IT Technical Business Analyst

Location: Remote (based in Topeka, KS; occasional onsite visits may be required)
Start Date: October 20, 2025
Duration: Through project completion

Seeking a skilled IT Technical Business Analyst to support a large-scale enterprise systems integration project. This role bridges business units, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions. Ideal candidates are proactive, analytical, and experienced in agile or hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead business analysis efforts for enterprise integration initiatives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document requirements
Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews
Analyze workflows, systems, and data flows for modernization opportunities
Translate business needs into technical specifications and user stories
Support interface/integration management and configuration/reporting activities
Assist with data analysis and visualization using tools like SQL, Power BI, and Tableau
Coordinate user acceptance testing and manage requirement traceability

Required Skills:

Strong communication, facilitation, and problem-solving abilities
Experience with requirements management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and collaboration platforms
Familiarity with SDLC documentation and agile methodologies
Technical understanding of data architecture and cloud-based solutions

Qualifications:

Minimum 4 years as a Business Analyst, including 2 years in a lead role
Experience with systems integration and cross-agency collaboration
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Knowledge of public sector environments is a plus
