Job Title: Supplier Project Engineer, Procurement Location: Bellevue, WA Type: 12-month Contract Compensation: $67 - $110 hourly Contractor Work Model: Remote Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Supplier Project Engineer to provide essential support in the management and technical integration of supplier projects. This role will involve close collaboration with contract administration and technical representatives to ensure supplier performance meets defined program objectives. Key Responsibilities: Act as the primary point of contact for supplier performance management and oversight, utilizing effective project management tools to monitor costs, schedules, and resources. Collaborate with internal technical and commercial teams to ensure alignment with contract specifications and technical directives provided to suppliers. Develop comprehensive Statements of Work (SOW) and project planning documentation to facilitate successful supplier project execution. Lead supplier selection activities by managing the full cycle of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), from initial bid through evaluation and award, in conjunction with Contract Administrators. Oversee supplier projects, ensuring timely delivery of data, documentation, and other deliverables while providing direction and oversight. Coordinate the technical review process for supplier deliverables, ensuring appropriate completion and response to team feedback. Manage the interfaces between supplier projects and the technical team to ensure streamlined communication and successful project implementation. Support contract administration and related commercial activities as needed to facilitate project execution. Maintain a comprehensive awareness of supplier technical capabilities and organizational changes to encourage constructive engagement and collaboration. Key Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Nuclear, Systems, or Civil Engineering (technical degree preferred). 10-20 years of experience in supplier oversight, with a preference for candidates possessing 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing oversight within fabrication or instrumentation & control (I&C) environments. Proficiency in developing project scope documents, including SOWs and RFPs, with demonstrated experience in guiding supplier project oversight. Familiarity with fabrication methodologies, including travelers, welding processes, and experience with the UL 508A standard, especially concerning component assemblies. Strong project controls experience, along with a broad understanding of mechanical, electrical, and nuclear engineering interrelationships. Proven ability to manage supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with contractual and commercial facets. Exceptional communication skills, with a strong commitment to integrity, teamwork, and open dialogue.
