JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Communications Manager will lead internal and external marketing initiatives to enhance customer engagement through trade shows and events. Responsibilities include planning and executing events aligned with marketing strategies, managing logistics from start to finish, and supporting cross-functional teams for sales enablement programs.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing Communications, the role requires coordinating with various departments and external vendors to ensure successful event execution. The ideal candidate is motivated, organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, creative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Tradeshow & Event Planning:
Coordinate and execute trade shows and events across North America, including booking, logistics, booth setup, and post-event follow-up. Manage vendor relationships and continuously improve event processes. Attend events as needed. Lead Management:
Collaborate with Sales and Digital Marketing teams to optimize lead capture and routing, create campaigns and reports, and suggest improvements for lead quality. Content Creation:
Develop marketing collateral such as ads, brochures, banners, and digital assets for event promotion. Create post-event content to enhance brand presence and SEO. Program Management:
Support sales resources by managing budgets, purchase orders, invoices, and reports related to trade shows and events, utilizing platforms like Trade Show Support Portal, Responsible Printing Center, and MyPIP Store. CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS 5+ years in event planning and managing industry trade shows Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field Ability to manage competing priorities and achieve shared goals Excellent communication skills Creative thinking for marketing ideas Strong project management and organizational skills Familiarity with digital marketing tools such as Hubspot, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Dynamics Knowledge of safety and PPE products is a plus Equal Opportunity Statement Protective Industrial Products (PIP) is an equal opportunity employer.
