Internal Medicine Technician
is responsible for supporting the Internist with sophisticated testing and procedures, including setting up and assisting with various diagnostics, managing lab samples, and monitoring high-risk anesthetic patients. The role involves being the primary contact for clients, preparing estimates, updating owners, assisting with medical records, and managing long-term patient care. Compensation:
$23-32/hr Common procedures include: Ultrasound, ultrasound-guided FNA/Biopsies ECGs/EKGs Abdominocentesis, thoracocentesis Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy, Rhinoscopy, Cystoscopy CT Imaging, contrast studies Bone marrow aspirates/biopsies CSF taps ACTH Stimulation test Glucose Curves Joint taps Arterial blood draws BAL/TTW Chemotherapy administration Required skills: CVT or experienced nurse with 3+ years in emergency or specialty settings, advanced anesthesia experience (ASA 3-5) Excellent communication skills Proper animal restraint, peripheral catheter placement, venipuncture Knowledge of drug administration routes, fluid and medication calculations Aseptic surgical prep, vital signs monitoring, basic lab testing, record keeping Ability to lift 35 pounds, stand long periods, fluent in English; multilingual skills a plus About Ethos Veterinary Health:
