USF Health . POSITION SUMMARY: The Department of Urology at USF Morsani College of Medicine seeks a full-time, open rank Reconstructive Urologist with Fellowship training in Reconstructive Urology. The candidate will join our core faculty at our flagship clinical site at Tampa General Hospital (TGH), working closely with subspecialists and the local outreach community. This position includes a 12-month salaried appointment with attending privileges at TGH, a level 1 trauma center serving South, Central, and West Florida. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Medical degree from an accredited institution or equivalent, with a record of achievement in teaching, research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment at Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. Must hold or be eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida Medical License or foreign equivalent. Board Certified/Eligible in Urology, with a focus on Reconstructive Urology. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Fellowship trained in Reconstructive Urology. TEACHING: Enhance urology residency training with a specialized rotation focused on multidisciplinary care for complex reconstructive surgery patients. Support resident research in reconstructive diseases. Establish a Reconstructive-fellowship training program within two years. RESEARCH: Create a reconstructive urologic patient cohort for scholarly work and outcomes research. Collaborate with industry to develop and trial new technologies. Partner with pharmaceutical and device companies on study protocols. QUALITY and SAFETY: Monitor and improve quality and safety metrics among urologic patients. ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES: Develop marketing strategies for the clinic. Plan for volume growth and revenue optimization. Seek philanthropic funding and grants. Establish a regional/national multidisciplinary reconstructive urology center at TGH. CLINICAL DUTIES: Focus on improving outcomes for reconstructive patients, emphasizing prevention. Facilitate referrals from various hospital and community sources. Engage in community CME sessions to promote the center and faculty expertise. Responsible to a Chair or higher administrator, with duties spanning teaching, research, service, and administration, including academic advising and committee participation.
