The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Survey and Qualitative Research Manager to provide survey, qualitative research, and analytics expertise across our dynamic programs and projects.

Responsibilities Provide
expert methodological guidance for ASCO's survey
s
, qualitative
research
(e.g., interviews, focus groups), and mixed methods research projects, spanning all
project
phases from development and design to implementation, analysis, and interpretation
Serve as a
subject matter expert
for survey

, qualitative
research
, and mixed methods
research
to ASCO staff
and external stakeholders
Draft proposals for
survey,
qualitative

and mixed methods research projects
, including select
ing
appropriate study
design

and writing
analysis plans
Provide research oversight to ensure project compliance with applicable regulations and organizational policies (e.g., IRB review, Research and Surveys Committee
processes
)
Train
collaborators and
staff in the application of survey
, qualitative, and mixed
research methods (e.g., drafting surveys, conducting focus groups)
Required Education and Experience Master's degree in
social sciences, public health, research
methodology
or related field
6+
years of progressive experience in survey and qualitative research
Expertise
in survey design and survey programming
Training and experience in data analysis, including at least 1 year or 2 semesters of statistics coursework or coursework in an applied area of statistics (e.g., biostatistics, psychometrics, econometrics)
Training
and
experience
in qualitative research,
including focus groups, interviews, and surveys
Experience supporting interdisciplinary research collaborations
Preferred Education and Experience Lead or co-author on at least 5 peer-reviewed manuscripts
Experience in health
care or related field
Experience with mentoring, coaching, and
advising
experienced researchers and staff with little research experience who are gaining new research skills
