At Metrea, our People Partners are more than HR advisors — they are strategic partners who shape the employee experience and unlock business potential. In this newly created role, you’ll drive initiatives that fuel organizational effectiveness, support employee growth, and strengthen our high-performance culture. You’ll be a trusted consultant to our leaders across all of our support capabilities in the U.S. (e.g. Legal, Strategy, Finance, Operations etc.), guiding them through people-related opportunities and challenges with insight, empathy, and business acumen. We’re looking for a senior leader who is as comfortable influencing strategy at the senior level as getting into the weeds on an employee relation matter – we are an all hands on deck team. Success means balancing strategy and action: designing scalable people practices, advising on complex employee matters, and leaning into the tough problems with curiosity and pragmatism. As both a thought partner and problem-solver, you’ll directly influence how our teams thrive and how our mission is achieved. Key Duties And Responsibilities
Leverage a consultative approach with business leaders while advising on best-practice approaches to People and Talent strategy. Provide guidance on policy, procedures and complex employment matters. Manage new hire onboarding programs to drive early assimilation and productivity. Support benefits related actions throughout the entire employee lifecycle, from new hire enrollment through annual open enrollment and ad hoc employee questions. Manage employee relations actions, including but not limited to, employment verifications, leaves of absence, FMLA, employee counseling, and exit interviews. Develop, coach, and manage both directly and indirectly People Generalists, supporting them with day-to-day employee requests and challenges. Direct and process day-to-day payroll operations to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely. Ensure internal controls and standard operating procedures are being adhered to within the assigned Business Units. Assist People Operations with legal compliance by monitoring applicable People federal and state requirements for the assigned Business Units. Leads and ensures compliance of training programs for all employees within assigned Business Units. Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned in relation to the People function. Skills And Experience
Ability to excel and thrive in a fast-paced, sometime ambiguous environment. Ability to lead and execute established strategy and policy, as well as build frameworks where they don’t already exist. Diligent in attention to details and pursue quality in accomplishing tasks. Promotes cooperation and commitment within a team to achieve goals. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization through excellent oral and written skills. Maintain discretion and a high level of confidentiality at all times. Must possess a strong commitment to company values. Required Education, Experience And Certificates
Education: Bachelor’s Degree Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues as a Human Resource Business Partner, People Business Partner, or HR Director role. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws. Certificates and Licenses
Professional in Human Resources or SHRM-CP preferred but not required. Computer Skills: Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite Programs and HRIS. Legal Entity
