SUMMARY OF PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:
Answers calls to Parish's central phone line, greets public in person, determines nature of business, and directs visitors and callers to destination; provides general public information when appropriate, provides light clerical support.
REQUIREMENTS:
Sufficient experience and education to successfully perform the duties of position. A typical way of obtaining the required qualifications is to possess the equivalent of a high school diploma and six months of clerical experience, or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
OTHER:
Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook; must be able to work extended hours during emergencies or disasters answering phone lines.
PAY CLASSIFICATION: Grade 2 | STARTING PAY RANGE: $13.84/hour - $15.83/hour DOE
