You'll help us build a bold future that is sustainable, accessible and inclusive. The Quality Assurance Engineer intern ensures that the software passes all checks before its release to the public. This role analyzes and conducts quality assurance testing to ensure that software operates properly, is defect-free and meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements. The position will apply quality assurance principles, methodologies, tools and techniques to ensure quality across the entire software development lifecycle. The Quality Assurance Engineer intern will partner with Delivery Team members to provide support with the design, development, code review, and maintenance of automated test scripts using the Tosca automation tool and framework. This role will collaborate with the test engineers to select, prioritize, and execute the automation scripts.Responsibilities:Gains familiarity with Quality Assurance (QA) Engineering concepts, practices, and methodologies.With guidance, performs standard QA duties, including:Reviewing and validating software requirements and functional design specificationsReviewing documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance and completenessUsing QA methods and tools to audit, test and ensure the quality of various software applicationsExecuting, updating and maintaining test plans and test casesDeveloping automated test scriptsTracking test coverage and defect metricsTroubleshooting and triaging of issuesUsing bug tracking systems to report defects or design flaws to project teams and developersDocumenting and escalating issues as appropriateWriting and organizing test review documentationAssists manager and team colleagues on selected projects.Develops progress reports and communicates project status to manager and project stakeholders.Qualifications:College student currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or master's degree in Computer-Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline Don't miss out on the first steps toward your future. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities.
