Role Overview:

We are seeking a

Senior Ab Initio Developer

with extensive experience in

ETL design, development, and performance optimization . The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in

Ab Initio GDE, Co>Op, Express>It, EME, PDL, and Meta Programming , with proven ability to manage large-scale data integration projects. This role involves close collaboration with business analysts, data architects, and QA teams to deliver

scalable, high-performance, and business-critical data solutions .

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and implement

ETL workflows and applications

using

Ab Initio . Work with large-scale datasets, ensuring

data accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization . Collaborate with business and technical teams to

analyze requirements

and deliver solutions aligned with project goals. Develop reusable components, frameworks, and utilities to improve development efficiency. Perform

unit testing, integration testing, and system testing

for ETL solutions. Support production deployments and resolve issues related to data pipelines, performance, and ETL jobs. Work with

data modeling teams

to translate business requirements into logical and physical data models. Participate in

code reviews, performance tuning, and optimization

of ETL processes. Ensure adherence to

SDLC, coding standards, and best practices

in data engineering. Required Skills & Experience:

8+ years

of IT experience with

at least 5+ years of hands-on Ab Initio development . Strong expertise in

Ab Initio GDE, Co>Op, Express>It, PDL, EME, and Meta Programming . Experience in

ETL design, performance tuning, and optimization . Solid understanding of

data warehousing concepts (DW/BI)

and

ETL best practices . Strong experience with

SQL and relational databases

(Oracle, Teradata, DB2, etc.). Hands-on experience with

Unix/Linux scripting . Knowledge of

big data platforms

(Hadoop, Spark, HDFS) is a plus. Familiarity with

cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in

Agile/Scrum environments . Healthcare or insurance domain experience (highly desirable). Exposure to

data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks .
