Image Library Admin Assistant III

The Image Library Admin Assistant III assists the Custodian of Records & Image Quality Assurance and is responsible for performing some Legal Desk duties in addition to complex Digital Librarian computer job duties. The Admin Assistant III demonstrates complex and advanced EMIR Quality Assurance and PACS Image Quality Assurance competencies, following HIPAA guidelines and documentation. The Admin Assistant III is responsible for all revenues collected by subordinate staff for image duplication, subpoena, and clerical fees. The Admin Assistant III, as requested, functions as the Image Librarian with a high degree of independence. Special projects to be assigned.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to interact appropriately and congenially with staff, faculty, fellows, residents, and patients. Ability to establish comfortable relationships with patients and their family members. Ability to independently make decisions in the absence of superiors. Ability to adjust to changing priorities, frequent interruptions, deadlines, emergencies, and heavy workload. Strong working knowledge of personal computers, HIS, RIS, LORAD, PACSCUBE CD Burner, Array Digitizer. Skill in typing with accuracy and moderate speed. Ability to use mathematical skills to efficiently analyze various pertinent data related to workload and finance. Medical terminology to a level permitting accurate preparation of scheduling patient procedures interacting with physicians, patients, and staff. Basic organizational skills to ensure a workable, efficient office including organization schedules, electronic and paper records and files. Skill in analyzing information or situations to define a problem, identify relevant concerns, formulate logical and objective conclusions and alternatives. Ability to handle confidentiality issues with tact and diplomacy. Ability to read and write correspondence and reports of a business nature using proper grammar, punctuation, and syntax. Working knowledge of hospital/billing forms and the ability to explain services and charges to patients and/or family. Skill in quickly assimilating and retaining a large body of financial screening and patient registration information.
