Become a vital part of our esteemed medical community as we seek two dedicated Medical Oncologists and/or Hematologists to join our renowned cancer center located in the picturesque Coos Bay. This facility is recognized for providing exceptional cancer care, serving as a primary hub for patients across the southern coast of Oregon.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive care in a dynamic outpatient setting with a focus on oncology and hematology.
- Accept part-time (48 hours per pay period) and full-time (80 hours per pay period) roles.
- Manage an average of 10-15 patients per day in a supportive clinical environment.
- Collaborate with an outstanding nursing infusion team within a beautiful, state-of-the-art facility.
- Participate in a 1:4 call schedule, primarily managing critical lab calls.
- Engage in leading-edge clinical trials and maintain affiliations with the Oregon Health & Sciences University.
- Uphold a strong community-focused approach, contributing to a family-oriented environment with top-rated schools.
- Board Eligible (within 2 years) or Board Certified in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology.
- Experience in Radiation Oncology is preferred, with a strong background in outpatient oncology practices.
- Clean malpractice history and background.
- Willingness to commit to part-time or full-time employment.
- Must have ties to Oregon, such as family connections or previous residency.
- New Fellow graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Oregon medical license (or ability to obtain one).
- BLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
- NPDB self-query report is required.
- DEA registration must be obtained prior to start date.
