Novato USD is seeking a
part-time, onsite Speech-Language Pathologist
to work
1:1 with a 19-year-old nonverbal male student
with severe autism. The student receives consistent support from two full-time aides, who will be present during therapy sessions. This is a specialized, high-impact role ideal for an SLP with experience in severe autism and AAC. Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 speech therapy services to a nonverbal student using evidence-based methods and augmentative communication tools
Collaborate with classroom staff and aides to ensure consistency of care and communication support
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and document progress
Work closely with district support staff to meet IEP goals
Qualifications
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Active California SLP license and CTC certification
Experience with nonverbal and severely autistic populations strongly preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with a support team
