This opportunity is seeking experienced Special Education Teachers for a full-semester contract within a K-12 school located in Rochester, MI. Multiple openings are available to support diverse student needs across various grade levels, including PreK-K, upper elementary, and high school settings.
The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role. Positions include: Kinderpath Teacher in the PreK-K program Resource Room Teacher for upper elementary grades Co-Taught Classroom Teacher in high school Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' unique learning requirements. Collaborate with general education staff and support services to facilitate inclusive learning environments. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies to maximize learning outcomes. Engage with parents and guardians to provide regular updates and foster partnership in student development. Maintain accurate records in compliance with educational standards and school policies. Qualifications: Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for the assigned grade levels. Experience working within a K-12 special education setting, preferably across multiple grade bands. Strong understanding of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavior management techniques. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families. Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.
