Overview Software Engineer — Seattle, Washington, United States Industry: Software and Services Summary Apple is looking for a software engineer to create ground-breaking technology for the next generation of voice assistant technology. Join the team redefining Siri by building the foundations that power Siri voice assistant and Dictation across billions of Apple devices. Siri Runtime Platform provides a horizontal platform across all device platforms (iOS/macOS/watchOS/visionOS) to manage the life cycle of a user’s conversation with Siri, and to orchestrate Siri requests by integrating with components such as UI, ASR, LLM Planner, and more. Description The Siri Runtime Platform team seeks a resourceful software engineer to develop Siri’s next generation of natural interaction platforms on Apple devices. You should be hands-on, able to improve and build features to enhance Siri capabilities, and adaptable to a rapidly changing environment with shifting priorities. The role emphasizes using new technologies to solve real problems and improve intelligent assistants. The position requires deep expertise in developing, launching, maintaining, and extending products. You will help develop standard methodologies, strong architecture/design, and high-velocity software development, along with substantial individual technical contributions. A strong ownership mindset is needed to collaborate with cross-functional partners to resolve dependencies, triage issues from live populations, analyze logs, reproduce bugs, and determine priorities while identifying emerging trends in reported issues. Minimum Qualifications BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Strong expertise in Swift/Objective-C programming language. 2–3 years of software development experience (contributing to code, code reviews, design reviews, and maintaining production systems). Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals with excellent expertise in concurrency, distributed systems, and API design. Preferred Qualifications Expertise in design patterns. Experience shipping platform/products to production and supporting/extending them post-launch. Experience driving technical decision-making and software development from product definition to ship for multiple products. Pay & Benefits Base pay range for this role is between $139,500 and $210,100, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Total compensation may include discretionary bonuses or commissions and relocation assistance.
