As a Software Engineer at Clipboard Health, you’ll craft solutions that reshape how healthcare professionals and facilities connect. You’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to build features that matter. This is an evergreen role and we’re continually looking to add talented software engineers to our team. What You’ll Do Deliver high-quality, scalable code Write performant backend services using Node / NestJS and reliable frontend experiences with React and TypeScript Leverage MongoDB, Postgres, and Redis to ensure data integrity and speed at scale Develop reusable components and utilities Contribute clean, modular code for web and mobile applications (Ionic / React, Dart / Flutter) Work with the DevX team to enhance tooling and libraries across the engineering org Own the full software development lifecycle from problem definition to production support Deploy code using trunk-based development with short-lived feature branches and automated regression testing Collaborate with Product Managers and Customers to understand real-world problems Engage with customers occasionally to gather feedback and ensure solutions address their needs Communicate effectively in a globally distributed team with asynchronous discussions and thorough documentation Participate in daily overlap sessions (US PST) to stay aligned Contribute to a customer-centric approach, balancing quick fixes with long-term architectural improvements Participate in on-call rotations and own the systems you build Typically on-call for one week out of the month What You Bring to the Table Professional software development experience Proficiency in building complex web or mobile apps, ideally with TypeScript, React, and Node / NestJS Experience developing, monitoring, and supporting services in production Strong understanding of testing (integration / E2E and unit tests) Familiarity with AWS (ECS, Terraform) and cloud deployment practices Problem-solving in low-structure, high-ownership environments Ability to balance immediate customer needs with long-term architecture planning Clear writing for remote collaboration, concise PR feedback, and thorough documentation Comfort with giving and receiving constructive feedback for continuous improvement Customer empathy and collaboration with PMs and sometimes customers Bonus Points For Startup experience or founder background Experience with trunk-based development and continuous deployment First-principles thinking to solve problems innovatively Why Clipboard Health?
