We seek a dynamic, high-level creative thinker to join our West Florida Public Engagement and Communications Team as a Graphic Designer II. This multifaceted role involves creative execution and managing various projects, including newsletters, social media content, technical infographics, executive presentations, and public outreach materials. You will help shape community engagement with infrastructure in Florida and beyond.
Your responsibilities include designing and laying out materials such as internal and external newsletters, presentations, proposals, reports, infographics, brochures, maps, and digital campaigns. Experience with e-newsletter platforms like Mailchimp or Constant Contact is a plus. You will also develop and maintain visual asset libraries, including photography, icons, and templates for internal and external communications.

What You'll Do:
- Create print and digital materials for proposals, including templates, charts, maps, infographics, covers, and layouts.
- Develop presentation materials such as PowerPoints, leave-behinds, and display boards.
- Design PR and internal communication materials like brochures, ads, and announcements.
- Brainstorm and develop concepts for visual communication of key messages.
- Manage digital assets, including icons, photography, and stock graphics.
- Coordinate with vendors and photographers.
- Review and approve final graphics as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
- Associates Degree in Art, Graphic Design, or related field plus 3 years of relevant experience, or
- 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of formal education.
What You'll Bring:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects) from concept to delivery.
- Ability to translate complex ideas into engaging visuals like infographics and illustrations.
- Experience managing digital newsletters with platforms like Mailchimp or Constant Contact.
- Strong presentation design skills, including PowerPoint and Word, with custom template creation.
- Excellent typography and layout skills, emphasizing accessibility and brand consistency.
- Initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Willingness to contribute to team training and knowledge sharing.
What We Prefer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Art, or related field.
- Experience in architecture, engineering, or transportation infrastructure (A/E/C).
- Familiarity with motion graphics, video editing, or 2D/3D visualization tools like SketchUp.
- Experience supporting public engagement or marketing campaigns.
