People & Organization (P&O) Manager – Plant Operations at Centor Rx. Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

Position summary

The P&O Manager serves as a key strategic partner to plant leadership and a champion for employee engagement, talent development, and operational excellence. This role is responsible for overseeing all HR-related activities at the plant level, ensuring compliance with labor laws, supporting business objectives, and fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Leadership — Partner with plant leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that align with business goals; serve as a member of the plant leadership team and contribute to operational and strategic decisions; lead change management initiatives and drive cultural transformation.
  • Talent Management — Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and retain skilled labor and leadership; support workforce planning and succession planning; facilitate performance management processes and leadership development.
  • Employee Relations — Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, handling workplace issues with fairness and consistency; ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and union contracts (if applicable); investigate and resolve employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
  • Training & Development — Identify training needs and coordinate learning initiatives to support skills development and safety compliance; promote continuous improvement in workforce capabilities and engagement.
  • Compensation & Benefits — Support administration of compensation structures and benefit programs at the plant level; conduct wage analysis to ensure competitiveness in the local labor market.
  • HR Operations & Compliance — Maintain accurate HR records and reporting in compliance with legal and corporate requirements; manage HR metrics (e.g., turnover, absenteeism, headcount) and report insights to plant leadership; ensure workplace safety and support health and wellness initiatives.
  • Labor Relations — Act as a liaison between plant management and labor unions; support collective bargaining, contract interpretation, and dispute resolution.

Required skills and abilities

  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence, coach, and build relationships across all levels.
  • Data-driven decision making and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite, Paycor or SuccessFactors.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) preferred.
  • 5–10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in management/leadership in a plant or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in unionized environments is a plus.

Salary and benefits
