Help Desk & IT Support Specialist (Hybrid – Franklin & Nashville, TN) at Innovative Renal Care.
Position Summary. As a Help Desk & IT Support Specialist, you’ll provide hands-on and remote technical support to over 3,300 end users—including executives and frontline staff. You’ll troubleshoot, configure, install, and maintain Microsoft systems in an Active Directory environment, while delivering exceptional customer service across the organization. You’ll also respond to support tickets and assist employees remotely using enterprise tools and remote access platforms.
This Hybrid Role Includes Regular On-site Presence At Corporate Office – Franklin, TN 37067; Hardware Depot – Nashville, TN 37211
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 9:30am-6:00pm CST (occasional weekend coverage during after-hours on-call rotation)
Responsibilities
- Provide IT support for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, remote desktop, and in person.
- Strive to achieve first-call resolution whenever possible as part of the IT Call Center.
- Configure, install, and maintain Microsoft systems in an Active Directory environment.
- Test, image, and deploy desktops and laptops.
- Escalate unresolved or complex issues to higher-level support.
- Track IT assets accurately within the inventory system.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding purchasing, warranties, and returns.
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation to support business needs.
- Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and updates to knowledge base materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of IT support experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Active Directory, and remote support tools.
- Experience handling escalated support issues.
- Experience analyzing and resolving complex system-level software issues.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a healthcare or clinical IT environment.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP/MCSA).
