The IT Specialist is the first point of contact and will provide technical assistance, maintenance and repair to computer systems and hardware and network problem resolution to all Singing River Health System customers. The IT Specialist will guide users through step-by-step solutions, answer questions or resolve computer issues for users in person, via telephone or from a remote location and email or trouble request enquiries; and resolves or escalates system issues and problems. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and software while ensuring optimal performance. The IT Specialist will troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate manner and provide assistance where required, and utilize tools and following procedures or policies for handling support requests.

- Work is moderately active: involves sitting with frequent requirements to move about the office, move about the facility, and to travel to another facility within the SRHS service area.
- Exerting a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
- Exposure to body fluids, sputum and tissues which may carry the hazard of infectious disease.
- Repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and fingers while using standard office equipment.
- Close visual acuity and the ability to view computer monitors and printed material.
- Ability to be active for extended periods and work shifts as required by hospital needs.
