Seeking a Board Certified or truly Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician
Outstanding opportunity for an Emergency Medicine physician in Michigan's Upper Peninsula
Experienced physicians, graduating residents, or fellows preferred - other specialties will be considered
18-bed emergency department renovated/expanded in 2017
Annual volume: 16,000 visits
Solo physician coverage with advanced practitioner support 10 AM - 10 PM daily
Shifts: 7 AM - 7 PM and 7 PM - 7 AM , with overlap for proper hand-offs
Separate walk-in clinic across the street staffed by NP/PA (9 AM - 7 PM)
Strong specialist support, including psychiatry
Trauma team required to be on-site within 20 minutes
U.S. medical degree or foreign equivalent
Residency completed in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Med/Peds
Board Certified or Board Eligible
Eligible for unrestricted Michigan medical license and Controlled Substance License
Not accepting visa candidates
