Job Overview Primary Care Physician (Family/Internal Medicine):
Compensation: $210,000/year
Location: Queens, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Deliver comprehensive primary care as a Primary Care Physician (Family/Internal Medicine) with our client in Queens, NY. Provide preventive, acute, and chronic care to patients of all ages in an outpatient setting. Perform exams, manage diagnoses, prescribe medications, and coordinate care with specialists. Supervise mid-level practitioners, support quality improvement initiatives, and promote health education and disease prevention.
Responsibilities as the Primary Care Physician:
  • Patient Care & Diagnosis: Provide comprehensive exams, well-care visits, gynecological assessments, and chronic disease management for patients of all ages.
  • Clinical Assessment & Treatment: Obtain histories, evaluate symptoms, order/interpret diagnostics, and develop treatment plans.
  • Medication & Preventive Care: Prescribe medications, counsel on usage, monitor side effects, and promote health maintenance through education and preventive medicine.
  • Care Coordination: Refer patients to specialists and ensure appropriate follow-up care.
  • Supervision & Collaboration: Oversee Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, offering clinical guidance and technical support.
  • Quality & Administrative Oversight: Participate in quality improvement activities, complete medical documentation, and contribute to on-call coverage as assigned.
Qualifications for the Primary Care Physician:
  • Education: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure & Certification: Active New York State medical license and board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a primary care or outpatient setting, with experience supervising mid-level providers preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in EMR systems and clinical documentation, with strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills.
  • Skills & Attributes: Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to patient-centered care and community health initiatives.
