Director of Product Marketing

Build, lead and nurture members of the Product Marketing team, while setting the strategic direction for implants and prosthetics with the support of the Vice President of Product Marketing. Participate and collaborate with the Vice President of Product Marketing and European brand management team on portfolio positioning, pricing, segmentation and targeting strategies. Develop the marketing plan for implants and prosthetics to be executed by the Product Marketing team. Define goals for team members based on corporate objectives and product development to achieve overall company targets. Work closely with Sales, Customer Care, Operations, R&D, Regulatory and Quality to ensure effective product life-cycle management from conception to obsolescence. Act as the voice of the customer to guide marketing activities and product development decision making cross functionally. Manage product and feature development from ideation to implementation with cross functional teams. Provide leadership - and be an expert on - the competitive landscape to provide guidance to internal teams for product development and outside sales teams for competitor targeting. Perform market analysis, including reviews of competitive products to identify trends and product portfolio gaps to assist with strategic planning. Collaborate with sales and other departments to develop go-to-market strategies to win in targeted customer segments. Establish effective and routine communication with department managers to ensure successful completion of projects while keeping senior management informed. Manage members of the Product Marketing team to support the execution of marketing communication efforts, including development of product marketing collateral, digital marketing promotional campaigns and overall media plan content. Ensure that team members day-to-day activities are in line with meeting corporate objectives for product development, launches and growth in key markets. Interface with customers, prospects through setting up focus groups with customers and internal team members to gather feedback. Provide new hire training to new team members or at key events for existing and new products. Regularly attend key industry meetings and courses to meet with customers, suppliers and team members.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Marketing or BioMedical Engineering, or closely related field, plus 5 years of experience in Product Management.

The experience (which may be gained concurrently) must also include experience in each of the following:

5 years of experience with product development and engineering in the medical device field; 5 years of experience working with Regulatory requirements in the medical device industry; Experience managing teams in product management; and Experience using data such as PowerBi, SAP and market reports to plan and execute marketing strategies.

Job Location: Birmingham, AL. Telecommuting allowed 50% of the time. 40 hours per week, 8:00am
