Distribution Designer
Job Description
This role involves performing detailed design work, including the preparation of drawings, specifications, and estimates for review and approval by the responsible engineer.
Responsibilities
Have a thorough knowledge of technical practices and procedures in areas such as Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control, Protective Relaying, Transmission Design, Substation Design, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Distribution Engineering, Surveying, GIS and Mapping, and CADD.
Prepare manual or computer-assisted design and construction drawings of a complex nature with neatness and a minimum of errors.
Perform design services with a full understanding of drawings, specifications, and industry and company standards.
Participate in the preparation of cost estimates, specifications, evaluations, and requisitions.
Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations.
Coordinate equipment deliveries and design development to meet project schedules.
Acquire on-site field data to accomplish the design or to monitor and evaluate equipment performance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate Degree in a technical field preferred, preferably in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering discipline.
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience required if no degree.
Demonstrated leadership and technical capability.
Work Environment
The position is based in an office environment with opportunities for flex hours upon completion of training. There is also the potential to work from home two days a week, contingent on training completion and management discretion.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Canton, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
