What You Will Do Guidehouse is seeking a Data Scientist to join our Defense and Security AI and Data team. The individual will support a U.S. Federal Law Enforcement agency by collecting and analyzing data and reporting results. This will include identifying and collecting data from data sources across multiple domains and classification, as well as analysis, visualization, model development, reporting, and implantation in support of organizational and mission goals. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leading design and development of models and data visualizations to provide required insights using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, i2 Analyst, Palantir, Spotfire, or others.
Leading and reviewing data cleaning scripts using tools such as Python and R.
Developing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning models.
Applying mathematical, quantitative, qualitative, and repeatable analytical methods to optimize research results and prepare detailed, actionable reports and presentations that support screening and vetting, lead development, and criminal analysis.
Identifying and creating additional data visualization capabilities, as needed.
Ensuring data governance and quality assurance standards are met.
Collaborating with Law Enforcement personnel as well as data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to inform modeling and analysis.
Working with team members to summarize and report on business process improvements, including gaps in current processes and initiatives to improve processes for an organization.
Summarizing and presenting information and reports to the team and making recommendations (both oral and written).
What You Will Need U.S. Citizenship is required
Bachelor's Degree is required
Minimum of TWO (2) Years of Experience with AI/ML platforms and processes
What Would Be Nice To Have Law enforcement experience
Experience leading teams focused on developing analytic solutions
Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail
Experience developing new and re-designing existing processes to meet new and/or evolving business requirements
Ability to provide guidance and direction for specific projects or sub-tasks
Capability to manage multi-task projects
Experience analyzing and defining system requirements
Ability to work independently with minimal direction
Ability to anticipate and respond to management and client needs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff within an organization
The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$133,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
