Job Title: 1st Shift Electrician

Pay Rate: $38+/hr (Based on experience and licensing level)

Shift: 1st Shift (Day Shift)

Industry: Food Manufacturing

License Required: Journeyman or Master Electrician License (Required)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and licensed Electrician to join our maintenance team at a leading food manufacturing facility . The successful candidate will be responsible for performing electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment and facility systems to ensure smooth and safe operations during the 1st shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance on production equipment and facility systems

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical components including motors, PLCs, control panels, wiring, and sensors

  • Install and maintain wiring systems, control panels, and industrial equipment

  • Ensure all work complies with national and local electrical codes and safety standards

  • Support production teams by responding quickly to equipment issues to minimize downtime

  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed

  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams on process improvements and equipment upgrades

  • Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Adhere to all food safety, GMP, and plant safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician License (Required)

  • Minimum 3 years of industrial or commercial electrical experience, preferably in food or manufacturing environments

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, schematics, and testing equipment

  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and automation systems preferred

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • Solid understanding of safety protocols and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical school or electrical apprenticeship preferredINDBH
