Mental Health Patient Care Technician
BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking a Mental Health Patient Care Technician to join our outstanding and compassionate team at St. Josephs Main and Children's. The position details are as follows: Position Details
Facility: St. Josephs Main and Children's Location: Tampa, FL Status: Full time, Hourly Shift Hours: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Weekend Work: Every Other On Call: No Responsibilities
The Mental Health Patient Care Technician responsibilities include: Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. This is a dual position, including the job responsibilities of a Patient Care Technician and a Mental Health Technician. Required Certification/Licensures
BLS (Basic Life Support) Required - Currently Enrolled - Nursing; Or - Technical - Certified Nursing Assistant; Or - Technical - Reference summary for details Required Education
High School or Equivalent Required - Currently Enrolled - Nursing; Or - Technical - Certified Nursing Assistant; Or - Technical - Reference summary for details Required Experience
Minimum requirements include 6 months acute care experience or 1-year Skilled Nursing Facility experience or a BayCare approved Nurse Assistant/ PCT program; or BayCare PCT Boot Camp if attended a Nursing Assistant program without clinical hands-on patient care experience; or completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an RN or LPN Program; or EMT certification / Paramedic license for ER only. If no experience/training in sterile technique; insertion and removal of urinary catheters, and IV reseal removal. BayCare PCT Course and accompanying competencies must be completed within 90 days of hire. Benefits
