SUMMARY The Advanced Practice Provider, working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary health team, is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care, seeing patients in clinic/office. Also responsible for hospital related duties such as assisting with surgery, Hospital rounding, and participating in on-call responsibilities. Participates in patient and family teaching. Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with RNFA certificate assisting in OR. All duties and responsibilities must be accomplished with the guidelines of the established protocols and in accordance with the Physician Written Practice Agreement as required by New York State. EMPLOYMENT Full Time, 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday thru Friday; hours may very on surgical days Annual salary range: $53.59/hr - $80.39/hr Benefits include PTO, medical, dental and vision coverage 403(b),CME allowance, occurrence based malpractice insurance Non-Profit Organization, eligible for PSLF Epic EMR EDUCATION – PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT Graduate of an approved NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and CAHEA accredited Physician Assistant training program (Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA) Valid New York State Physician Assistant License Valid certification by the NCCPA as developed by the National Board of Medical Examiners Current CPR certification and biannual certification required ACLS certification preferred Valid DEA certificate EXPERIENCE Experience in a Surgical practice setting preferred One (1) year of recent experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY Ability to handle multiple priorities in a stressful situation Certification in CPR and annual re-certification required ACLS certification preferred WORKING CONDITIONS Work is demanding and stressful at times Visual and auditory acuity are essential Works indoors in a well-lit, well ventilated area May be exposed to communicable diseases On-call coverage CATHOLIC HEALTH Catholic Health is an integrated health care organization serving the Western New York area from the Canadian Border to the Pennsylvania State Line.With its headquarters in Buffalo, NY, Catholic Health has over 8,000 employees & 1,500 affiliated physicians.
