to join our multidisciplinary team.
The
Division of Pulmonology at The Children’s Hospital
at Saint Peter’sUniversity Hospital diagnoses and manages acute and chronic respiratorydisorders and diseases, such as asthma, in children of all ages. Saint Peter’soffers comprehensive pulmonary evaluation, treatment, and management forchildren with asthma, wheezing, croup, chronic cough, troublebreathing during exercise, pneumonia, recurrent and persistent pneumonia, unusual respiratory infections, bronchopulmonary dysplasia/chronic lungdisease. As part of our
comprehensive neonatology
services, premature babies with underdeveloped lungs are treated for thefollowing conditions: snoring and obstructive sleep apnea, pulmonarycomplications from neuromuscular disease, airway and chest wall abnormalities,apnea or abnormal breathing pattern, cystic fibrosis. Diagnostic testing and treatment
used to treatinfants and children include: Spirometry Pulmonaryfunction testing Flexiblebronchoscopy to help view inside the lungs Chest X-raysand computed tomography (CT scan) Sweattesting and genetic testing to diagnose cystic fibrosis Exercisetesting to assess lung function in children with exercise-inducedsymptoms.
This role is ideal for an ambitiousand skilled pediatric pulmonologist to join a well-established practice with arobust staff. The ideal candidate should be collaborative and will beresponsible for providing direct outpatient care to patients with possiblepediatric pulmonary disorders at Saint Peter’s Healthcare System Hospital,outpatient facilities and associated satellite locations. This position willhave both clinical and academic responsibilities including primary andconsultative inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
