Senior Software Engineer
Peraton is seeking a senior software engineer who will be responsible for analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance standards for one or more software development teams. Candidate will ensure quality and that work is completed in accordance with constraints of the software development process being used. Responsibilities include the design, modification, and debugging of new and existing software while integrating into new or modified systems or operating environments. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required with twenty (20) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required. Experience developing applications and utilities using high-level languages such as C++, Java, Python, etc. Experience performing software development tasks, including enhancements, bug fixes, and system maintenance standard development tools. Experience implementing and maintaining Kubernetes-based microservices architectures for both cloud and physical environments. Experience with Kubernetes monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in Kubernetes cluster management, including the use of Helm charts, Operators, and Kubernetes-native monitoring tools Peraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and participation in an attractive bonus plan. Target Salary Range: $176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
