Geospatial Analyst
The Mission Solutions Business Area at Leidos is seeking a Geospatial Analyst for our Reston, VA location. The successful candidate will work on a team conducting geospatial data collection and analysis, imagery analysis, scripting/programming, Three-Dimensional (3D) visualization, and use of databases to access and store geospatial data. Requires extensive knowledge of data analysis and mapping software apps: ESRI ArcGIS Pro and ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise, Skyline TerraExplorer, Rhinoceros3D (Rhino), and Sketchup. The successful candidate will work conducting reverse engineering of above ground and underground structures with an emphasis on geospatial data preparation, and analysis, and 3D visualization. Work will be performed in a fast-paced, high-energy environment inside a government facility. The position may require some travel and occasional work outside of normal work hours, depending on customer requirements. Role and Responsibility: The candidate shall perform the following: The collection and analysis of geospatial data (vector and raster) from various data sources and the use of commercial and NTM source data to provide geospatial data preparation in support of geotechnical characterizations and test bed analysis. Create 3D visualizations, using 3D modeling and GIS software, terrain data, intelligence reports, engineering data, and tactical plans to support national level decision makers, senior leadership, and the warfighter. Collect, document and maintain geospatial data within data file structures and enterprise geodatabases in support of geospatial and geotechnical analysis efforts. Develop geospatial products and solutions to support geologic and engineering analysis. Collaborate with intelligence analysts to ascertain analytical workflows, business requirements, and to train personnel in the use of ArcGIS tools. Provide support to data capturing and conversion of GIS data for all GIS activities. Use various source data for research to perform imagery analysis of panchromatic/multispectral imagery, geospatial rectifications and development of elevation data sets. Required qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 8+ years of related experience or Masters with 6+ years of related experience. Must have a TS/SCI with POLY 12+ years of relevant experience in the following: Geospatial Analysis, Intelligence Community, geospatial data formats (vector and raster data), intelligence fusion analysis, creating geospatial intelligence products, familiarity with various network domains, GIS software (ESRI ArcGIS Pro, ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise, ERDAS Imagine, RemoteView), 3D visualization software (Skyline TerraExplorer, Rhinoceros3D (Rhino), and Sketchup ), and NGA data products and standards. Experience in lieu of degree will be considered Desired Technical Qualifications: Python programming experience. Experience using ArcPy and ArcGIS API for Python to develop scripts and applications to analyze data and automate data processes. Experience using ArcGIS Enterprise to automate develop GIS applications, geoprocessing services, and web maps. 3D modeling experience using ArcGIS and other applications; experience processing and analyzing point cloud data.
