Join the Juvenile Justice Information System (JJIS) Modernization Project as a key member of the Business Implementation Team (BIT). The role entails assessing and analyzing user needs, translating those needs into clear and actionable user stories for developers, and collaborating with technical teams to enhance and modernize system features. Apply Agile methodologies to support user satisfaction, backlog refinement, training development, and user support. A key focus is training and implementation support, including collaboration with curriculum developers to inform lesson plans, presenting training materials to users, and delivering on-site training across the state. This role contributes to modernizing Oregons justice information systems. Responsibilities (selected): Assess user needs and translate into clear user stories for development teams. Collaborate with technical teams to enhance and modernize JJIS features. Apply Agile methodologies to support backlog refinement, training development, and user support. Lead training efforts, including developing and refining training guides and delivering on-site trainings. Partner with curriculum developers to refine lesson plans and training materials. Qualifications
To Qualify For This Position: Five years of work experience designing, planning, and implementing adult education courses, or applying web-based technologies in a blended learning environment; OR Five years of work experience designing, planning, and implementing organizational development strategies; OR A bachelors degree in Education, Organizational Psychology, Business or Public Administration, Training and Development, Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, or related field may substitute for three years of the work experience above. Desired Attributes / Application Scoring Criteria: Documented software training experience (in-person, virtual, and web-based). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of training delivery strategies related to software technologies, products, and applications. Understanding of practices and standards for technology delivery. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently. Ability to travel across the state for trainings. Additional Information
Limited Duration: appointment ending on or before 02/28/2027; benefits eligible with potential to become permanent. Hybrid Work: required to work at the Salem Central Office as needed. Salary: $5,575.00 - $8,550.00 (non-PERS participating rate; increases with eligibility); comprehensive and equitable base offer; pay information may vary with experience.
