Position Overview:
We’re seeking a motivated Sales Development Representative to join our team. In this role, you’ll connect with homeowners, share the financial and environmental benefits of solar, and guide them through a simple sales process. Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and engage potential customers by generating leads through door-to-door outreach, referrals, networking, and participation in industry events.
- Clearly communicate the financial and environmental advantages of solar energy, while guiding clients through available incentives, tax credits, and rebates.
- Present personalized solar proposals that address client needs, expertly handle questions or concerns, and negotiate favorable terms to close contracts.
- Work closely with the sales team to not only meet but exceed both individual and team sales targets, sharing innovative strategies and best practices.
- Build strong, long-term client relationships by offering outstanding customer service throughout the sales cycle, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Requirements
- High school diploma preferred; relevant sales experience will also be considered.
- Proven track record in sales, ideally in solar, renewable energy, or related industries.
- Knowledge of solar products, systems, and current trends in the renewable energy sector.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage, educate, and influence potential customers.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for site visits, meetings, and customer engagements.
