Commercial Design-Build Project Manager

Position Description: We are seeking an experienced Commercial Design-Build Project Manager to lead projects from pre-construction through closeout. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and problem-solver who can manage design, budgets, schedules, and field coordination while building lasting relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Manage design-build projects from concept through completion, ensuring quality, safety, schedule, and budget goals are met.
Collaborate with design teams, consultants, and engineers to align design intent with constructability and cost efficiency.
Lead project budgeting, estimating, scheduling, and value engineering during preconstruction.
Oversee subcontractor procurement, contract negotiations, and performance management.
Maintain proactive client communication, providing updates and resolving issues.
Coordinate closely with superintendents and field staff to drive project execution.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, permitting, and safety standards.
Track project financials, prepare reports, and ensure profitability.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
5-10+ years of experience in commercial construction project management (design-build experience strongly preferred).
Proven track record delivering projects $20M+ in size.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, scheduling software, and cost management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
