Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Job Description Under general supervision, the Computed Tomography Technologist performs all CT procedures by operating computed tomography and radiography equipment to obtain quality diagnostic images. This role involves preparing the examination area, positioning patients, and assisting physicians during examinations.
Responsibilities
Prepare examination area and position patients for CT procedures.
Adjust imaging equipment settings based on examination protocols.
Assist physicians with medical equipment, instruments, and the administration of contrast materials and medications.
Calculate and select proper technique and protocols using ALARA principles.
Transfer image data to PACS and V-RAD for physician review.
Maintain records and technical notations as required by regulatory agencies.
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, adequately stocked for specific procedures.
Draw blood and introduce IVs according to established procedures.
Assist in the scheduling and flow of computed tomography examinations.
Demonstrate and instruct on computed tomography equipment operation to students and other personnel.
Perform clerical tasks such as retrieving radiographic film records and answering phones.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist or 1 year in Computed Tomography is required.
Active ARRT and BLS (AHA) certifications are required at the time of submission.
