Travel CT Technologist – 6-Week Temporary Assignment Start: ASAP Duration: 6 weeks only (covering maternity leave) Shift: Monday – Wednesday, 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM Work Type: Full-time
Job Summary: The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist will perform a range of routine and advanced CT imaging procedures, assist fellow technologists as needed, and help maintain efficient patient workflow. Flexibility to work other shifts or campuses may be required. The tech must be familiar with equipment troubleshooting, PACS systems, and quality assurance standards, and must demonstrate professionalism aligned with the organization’s values.
✅ Requirements: Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent
Experience: 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
Basic computer proficiency required
Certifications (Must Have): BLS – AHA required
One of the following ARRT/NMTCB primary certifications:
Radiography (R)
Nuclear Medicine Technology
Computed Tomography (CT) (Required at hire in New Mexico; otherwise within 1 year)
️ State Licensure Requirements: Texas: MRT by TMB
Louisiana: LRT (R), (N), or (F) by LSRTBE
New Mexico: CT or FUS by MIRTP NMED (CT required upon hire)
️ Technical Skills: Proficient with CT and X-ray equipment
Experience with PACS (must be able to escalate issues, act as PACS Superuser during downtime)
Charting System: Likely EPIC or client-specific system
Other Responsibilities: May be required to float within system or between nearby campuses
May assist with X-ray during slower CT volume
Must adhere to confidentiality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance
Expected to participate in continuing education and maintain required competencies
Comments: Temporary role due to staff member on maternity leave
No on-call required
Holidays rotate with staff as applicable
