We are seeking a skilled and compassionate General Dentist to join our busy dental practice. We have been here for 40 years and have a large patient base. We are looking to fill a position quickly as the owner dentist has recently passed. We currently have one dentist and are scheduling patients out for weeks/months until we can hire an associate dentist. The ideal candidate is committed to providing high-quality dental care, educating patients about oral health, and building strong relationships in a supportive clinical environment. This role requires proficiency in a wide range of dental procedures and a patient-focused approach to care. We have a strong focus on removable prosthetics and restorative procedures.
-Perform comprehensive dental exams, diagnostics, and treatment planning -Provide preventive and restorative dental care, including fillings, crowns, and root canals -Perform extractions and minor oral surgeries as needed -Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment care -Collaborate with dental assistants, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care -Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA and clinical standards -Stay current with the latest advancements in dentistry through continuing education -Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and protocols -Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment -Take accurate impressions and have seamless communication with labs to ensure an ideal fit of partial or full dentures -DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school -Active and unrestricted Virginia dental license -DEA license (if applicable) -Proven clinical experience preferred -Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills -Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
