Travel Job Title: Cardiovascular Tech I Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM Hours: Full-time (5x/week) Call/Weekends/Holidays:
No weekends
No holidays
No on-call
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (In order of importance)
Prepare sterile trays and organize procedural equipment
Prepare patients for procedures (EKG lead placement, betadine scrub, draping)
Assist cardiac catheterization nurse with patient monitoring setup
Calibrate and test transducers for pressure monitoring
Assist physician during diagnostic and interventional procedures
Load and operate power injector
Operate and maintain digital cine technology for imaging and data storage
Ensure proper image and data downloading to hospital systems for review
Provide emergency support during critical situations
Remove procedural vascular sheaths post-transfer to nursing unit or recovery
Assist in the insertion of vascular closure devices
Monitor and communicate inventory needs for non-stockroom supplies
Support routine maintenance and calibration of technical equipment
Lift minimum 40 lbs., push/pull 100 lbs., stand for a minimum of 4 hours/day
Provide care specific to patient population (age, language, sensory impairments, etc.)
Communicate appropriately with patients, families, and caregivers
