Yelp’s mission is to bridge the gap between people and exceptional local businesses. We are seeking a Senior Brand Sales Director to join our Brand Sales team. Yelp’s premium native search advertising products are designed to deliver strong ROI for clients, helping them engage with potential customers who are ready to purchase. The Brand Sales team is expanding, and this role focuses on revenue generation for our search retargeting product by selling directly to clients, developing a designated territory from prospecting to closing, and growing Yelp’s search retargeting offerings powered by our audience platform. You will work with brands in industries such as CPG, Finance, beverage and spirit, and DTC (Commerce).

To thrive in this role, you should have a background in digital or advertising sales with a track record of exceeding goals. This position offers opportunities for career advancement within the Brand Sales team.

What you’ll do

Manage a strategic account territory and identify new accounts aligned with Yelp’s advertising solutions

Own the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals

Develop relationships with key decision-makers across client organizations

Align Yelp’s search retargeting solutions with client objectives and challenges

Collaborate with clients and agencies to craft strategies using Yelp’s Audience Platform product

Identify budget opportunities within client organizations to support new Yelp campaigns

Work with Yelp’s Account Management and Customer Success teams to ensure exceptional client experiences and post-sale program success

Lead ad hoc projects focused on strategic revenue growth opportunities

What it takes to succeed

12+ years of diverse experience in Sales, Digital, Advertising, and Agency roles

Proven history of consistently surpassing multi-million dollar sales targets, including 8+ years of direct sales experience

Understanding of digital media and managed services

Strong communication with a track record of engaging with senior executives; motivated, tenacious, and committed to excellence

Growth mindset with a clear aim to impact Yelp’s revenue and client base

Ability to close deals worth $150,000 and above; entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build partnerships from the ground up

Collaborative, easy-going, and able to work across teams

Strong alignment with Yelp’s mission and Brand team priorities

Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time

Base salary of $160,000 per year

Uncapped quarterly incentive compensation (sales commissions)

Target annual compensation of approximately $310,000 (base + quarterly incentive, assuming minimum performance)
