Now Hiring: Structured Classroom Special Education Teacher (Elementary Level)
An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our elementary school team and lead a Structured Classroom. This role is designed for an educator who is passionate about supporting students with diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. The successful candidate will create a structured, supportive, and engaging environment that empowers every student to succeed.
Role Highlights: Build a classroom culture that promotes independence, inclusivity, and mutual respect.
Design and deliver Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) customized to each learner’s strengths and challenges.
Track student growth through accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance with state and district standards.
Implement differentiated instruction, research-based practices, and positive behavior interventions to drive student progress.
Provide direct instruction across academic, functional, and social-emotional domains within a structured classroom setting.
Partner with general education staff, related service providers, and families to ensure consistent support and inclusive opportunities for students.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related discipline (Master’s preferred).
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement (required).
Prior experience in a special education classroom or similar setting is strongly preferred.
