Production Operator – Medical Device Manufacturing Canaan, CT $20/hour Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, alternating schedule: Mon/Tue/Fri/Sat/Sun/Wed/Fri, every two weeks) Position Summary We are seeking motivated and reliable Production Operators to join our team in Canaan, CT. This role supports medical device manufacturing by performing routine production functions such as filling, packing, assembling, labeling, inspecting, and maintaining documentation in compliance with FDA, GMP, and ISO9000 standards. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Perform production tasks including filling, packaging, assembling, labeling, and inspecting. Maintain accurate records and logs in compliance with FDA, GMP, and ISO9000 requirements. Conduct in-process quality checks, complete quality documentation, and support requalification/rework activities. Assist with product and equipment changeovers, equipment troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. Keep machinery, work area, and floors clean and orderly. Record production data (PPH, scrap/waste, SAP, MES transactions) accurately. Report issues promptly to the Cell Lead and participate in problem-solving activities (CI, Blitz, Kaizen, KAS). Support business needs by working overtime as necessary. Work effectively in a team setting, ensuring smooth shift transfers and communication. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED preferred (required). Prior manufacturing or industrial experience preferred. Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English fluently. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures. Basic math skills for calculations and documentation. Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work extended hours as needed. Willingness to rotate into different tasks and responsibilities.
