Job Summary: The Central Supply Pediatric Technician (Registry) is responsible for the receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory control of medical supplies and equipment, with an emphasis on pediatric inpatient units and outpatient clinics. This role ensures that supplies are safe, clinically appropriate, cost-effective, and compliant with the hospital formulary, including providing substitutions when necessary. Working in collaboration with nursing, clinical staff, and supply chain leadership, the technician maintains par levels, monitors expiration dates, and supports high-quality patient care. Strong product knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent customer service are essential to consistently meet the needs of pediatric care teams. Central Supply Pediatric Technician Essential Functions: Receive, inspect, store, and deliver medical supplies and equipment. Restock supply rooms, kits, and carts; rotate inventory and remove expired/recalled items. Ensure compliance with formulary and provide clinically appropriate substitutions when needed. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts. Deliver, retrieve, and clean reusable pediatric equipment. Respond promptly to supply requests and partner with clinical staff to resolve product issues. Adhere to hospital policies and regulatory standards (Joint Commission, OSHA, infection control). What we need from you: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required Experience: Prior central supply, warehouse, or healthcare supply chain experience preferred. Pediatric hospital experience is a plus Skills: Knowledge of medical and pediatric-specific supplies and equipment. Understanding of product interchangeability and hospital formulary compliance. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Basic computer skills with inventory management systems.
