Eliassen Group is seeking a versatile and infrastructure-focused IT Project Manager with 5–7 years of experience to join a dynamic and fast-paced team on a long-term contract basis. This role will manage a mix of infrastructure, application development, and disaster recovery projects, adapting quickly to evolving business needs. This is a mid-level role ideal for a self-starter who thrives in an unstructured environment and can seamlessly shift between initiatives.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance. Rate: $55-65/ hr. w2
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver infrastructure, disaster recovery, and app dev projects across multiple departments. Collaborate with IT, business teams (Operations, Asset Protection, Finance, Procurement), and external vendors. Manage project timelines, scope, and deliverables using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies. Create and manage project documentation, including RFPs, RFIs, budgets, and estimates. Coordinate procurement and implementation of hardware/software solutions. Maintain awareness of current technologies, including Linux upgrades, asset protection systems, and AI initiatives (early-stage exploration).
Experience Requirements:
Ideal Candidate Profile 5–7 years of IT project management experience, ideally with a strong infrastructure background. Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution. Comfortable shifting between Infrastructure and Application Development projects on short notice. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with both technical teams and business stakeholders. Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight in a fast-moving, unstructured environment. Open-minded, flexible, and comfortable with ambiguity and change. Experience working with cross-functional teams in mid-sized, collaborative organizations (not heavily siloed enterprise environments). Technical Environment & Tools Project Tools: Jira, Asana, Google Sheets (flexible – use what works) Communication: Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc.) – minimal use of Microsoft Office Exposure to or interest in AI initiatives and custom agent technologies a plus Familiarity with infrastructure topics such as Linux, hardware rollouts, system upgrades, and enterprise software tools Culture Fit Self-starter who can hit the ground running Not afraid to ask questions, build relationships, and dive into unknowns Must be able to pivot quickly and take ownership Strong communicator — clear, concise, and able to avoid long-winded explanations Someone who wants to grow with the team, not just fill a seat
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
