Job Description ABOUT THE ROLE Logistics Property Company, LLC is seeking a dynamic Financial Planning & Analysis (“FP&A”) Associate to join our growing team in Chicago. The FP&A team drives the forecasting and budgeting processes for the company while building strategic cross-functional partnerships to provide critical decision support to executive management. As our FP&A Associate, you'll have an exceptional growth opportunity where you'll play a vital role in preparing financial forecasts and budgets, analyzing complex financial information, maintaining sophisticated forecasting systems, and calculating waterfall distributions. Your success in this role will stem from strong technical accounting knowledge combined with exceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical skills to navigate complex challenges while meeting critical deadlines. Experience in commercial real estate or private equity is essential for this position. While prior exposure to Yardi Voyager and/or Anaplan would be beneficial, it's not required for exceptional candidates. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Review, maintain, and build sophisticated dynamic financial models that drive annual budgeting and forecasting Partner and collaborate with development, asset management, accounting and finance teams to ensure reliable project forecasts Calculate waterfall distributions at project stabilization Assist in preparation of the annual business plan, quarterly reforecasts, and ad-hoc investor reporting packages Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data across various systems (Yardi and Anaplan) and offline reports in Excel Prepare analyses and participate in financial review meetings – providing project insights, proactively identifying trends and areas of opportunity and risk Review project actual results against budgets and forecasts, investigate variances, and prepare analysis of movements in project performance Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the FP&A function Support ad hoc financial analysis and scenario modeling for acquisitions, dispositions, and capital projects as directed by Finance leadership ABOUT YOU The ideal candidate will have: Required qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 2+ years of experience in FP&A or a related finance/analytical role within the Commercial Real Estate industry, Private Equity, Consulting, or Investment Banking, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred qualifications Experience in forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, data mining and interpretation Advanced knowledge of Excel with proven ability to build and maintain sophisticated financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis and problem solving Familiarity with Anaplan is a plus, but not required Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a cross-functional team environment Strong technical understanding of accounting, including preparation and analysis of financial statements Demonstrated ability to apply problem solving and analytical skills to provide solutions to complex issues Ability and initiative to take on increasing responsibilities over time Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Strong attention to detail COMPENSATION The FP&A Associate role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $95,000 to $125,000 annually plus bonus, reflecting the company’s good faith estimate based on market data and internal equity.
